Health & Wellness Considerations
Emergency Care Authorization
In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, every effort will be made to contact you immediately. If you are unreachable, you authorize Collars and Clippers to seek prompt veterinary care as deemed necessary. Any associated veterinary expenses remain the responsibility of the owner.
Coat Condition & Matting
Your pet’s comfort and welfare are always our highest priority. The owner acknowledges that severe matting can be uncomfortable and may lead to skin irritation or injury if extensive de-matting is attempted. For humane and safety reasons, pets with heavily matted coats may require a shorter haircut or shave-down.
Whenever possible, this will be discussed in advance; however, the groomer’s professional judgment will guide final decisions, always with your pet’s best interest in mind.
Pre-Existing Conditions
Please disclose any medical conditions, age-related concerns, skin sensitivities, injuries, or behavioral nuances prior to grooming. Collars and Clippers cannot be held responsible for conditions that are revealed, worsened, or aggravated during the grooming process.
Temperament & Handling
Behavioral Disclosure
For the safety of both pets and staff, owners must inform us of any history of aggression, biting, or heightened anxiety. If necessary, humane safety measures such as a muzzle may be used. Collars and Clippers reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services at any time should a pet’s behavior compromise safety.
Additional Handling Fees
Pets requiring extended time, specialized handling, or enhanced safety measures due to behavioral challenges may be subject to an additional handling fee.
Appointment Etiquette: Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Arrival Time
Clients are expected to arrive promptly at their scheduled drop-off time. A courtesy grace period of five (5) minutes is provided.
Late Drop-Off
Late arrivals beyond the grace period may incur a fee of $1 per minute and/or may result in a shortened appointment or rescheduling at the groomer’s discretion.
Pick-Up Window
Owners agree to collect their pet within 30 minutes of notification that grooming is complete.
Late Pick-Up
Pets remaining beyond the pick-up window may incur a $1 per minute late fee.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments
Cancellation Policy
We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any appointment changes or cancellations.
No-Show Policy
Appointments missed without appropriate notice may result in a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service total.
Flea & Tick Protocol
Should fleas or ticks be discovered during your pet’s visit, a mandatory flea treatment will be administered to protect your pet, our salon, and other guests. An additional fee of $20 will apply.
Medication & Sedation Disclosure
Owners must disclose any medications administered for anxiety, behavioral management, or medical reasons at the time of booking. This information is essential for safe and thoughtful handling.
Collars and Clippers does not administer medications and is not responsible for conditions revealed or affected by medication use.
Photography & Marketing Consent
With your permission, we may photograph your pet for use in our portfolio, website, social media, and other marketing materials. These images help us celebrate the beauty and individuality of our clients.
Liability Acknowledgement
Collars and Clippers is committed to exercising the utmost care and professional diligence in every service provided. By signing this agreement, the owner releases Collars and Clippers from liability for injury, illness, escape, or other incidents that may occur during grooming or while the pet is in our care, provided such incidents are not the result of negligence.
Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
Collars and Clippers reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or discontinue services at any time for reasons including, but not limited to, safety concerns, behavioral challenges, health considerations, or failure to comply with salon policies.
We appreciate the trust you place in Collars and Clippers. These policies allow us to deliver a calm, safe, and elevated grooming experience—one that honors both your pet and our craft.
For questions or clarifications, we invite you to contact us prior to booking.
